Trailhead on Salado Creek Greenway
Whether you are walking, jogging, biking, or cruising, the Salado Creek Greenway Trail is a great way to get to Lady Bird Johnson Park. The trail is a popular destination for San Antonio residents and visitors. Currently there are fourteen trailheads along the trail.
The greenway runs for thirty-eight miles, and is divided into several sections. The Salado Trail starts in rocky soils, then enters a mixed oak and juniper forest. It then enters a shallow canyon where it ends. The trail is closed for all purposes at sunset.
The Salado Creek Greenway Trail connects with other greenways and parks along the way, including the Tobin Park Greenway and the John James Park Trail. These greenways are paved and well maintained. The trail is dog friendly. It also has many amenities. There are picnic tables, benches, and memorials in Robert L.B. Tobin Park. The park also features a skate park, sports fields, and a swimming pool for YMCA members.
Dog park
Whether you are looking for a place to walk your dog, have a picnic, play a game of frisbee, or just to hang out, the Dog park at Lady Bird Johnson Park in Nacogdoches, San Antonio, Texas is a great place to do it. In fact, it’s a favorite among locals.
This dog park is run by the San Antonio Parks & Recreation Department. There are several rules you need to know, including that you need to have a current dog license and that your dog must be leashed at all times. You will also need to clean up after your pet.
The park also has a miniature baseball field, a swimming pool, a walking trail, and a playground. There’s also a dirt track for biking.
Aside from the usual poop bags and water, you can also use a “Doxie tunnel” to take your dog for a spin. The park also has a doggy water fountain and benches for humans. A great post!
Skate facility
Among the many amenities in San Antonio, one of the most popular is the skate facility at Lady Bird Johnson Park. This 7,000 square foot facility features a asymmetrical skate bowl and a five-foot quarter-pipe ramp. The facility is also home to a community center, several basketball courts, softball fields and a walking trail.
The park has a few other features too, including a shaded dog play area, various sporting fields and a large parking lot. In addition to the swimming pool, visitors can also rent the Ice and Golf Center, which has a hockey-regulation ice sheet, a video arcade and a meeting room. Located on the southeast corner of Loop 1604 and US 281, the facility is easily accessible.
The skate facility at Lady Bird Johnson Park also has a hiking trail. The park’s hiking trail traces Salado Creek through bluffs and hardwood forests. It also features a wetland ecology.
Lady Bird Johnson Park was also home to San Antonio’s first combined skate and pool facility. The facility was a $613,500 construction project, funded by park bonds.
Skate park/pool facility combo
Located near downtown San Antonio, Texas, Lady Bird Johnson Park is home to a variety of recreational facilities. The park features a hiking trail, tennis courts, basketball courts and a swimming pool. In addition, the park is home to a skate park, which is the city’s first.
The skate park features a 7,000 square-foot skate bowl with a five-foot quarter pipe ramp and multiple spray jets. It also features a 1,800-square-foot deck. This facility is four and a half feet deep at the deepest point. It also features a five-foot bun pyramid and a five-foot quarter pipe ramp. The Lady Bird Johnson Skate Facility has also been home to many events, including the Texas Skate League.
